SCAD Project

This project will involve both qualitative and quantitative research with SCAD survivors with the aim of identifying their specific stresses and concerns, and their support needs and preferences.

We will then develop and deliver an effective support program to address the psychosocial needs of SCAD survivors. This project is being undertaken in conjunction with colleagues from the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and SCAD Research Inc.

The study is due to commence in mid-2021.

Cardiac Emotions Study

In this study we are assessing a broad range of psychological, social and behavioural symptoms of cardiac emotions. We will report on the prevalence and severity of these symptoms in a sample of up to 350 cardiac event survivors, and will investigate the relationship of these symptoms to commonly assessed constructs such as anxiety, depression and quality of life, as well as a set of emotional thermometers.
